South Africa's President
Cyril Ramaphosa has promised to tidy up the corruption that has become an obvious part of his party, the African National Congress (ANC). The voters are left
with the decision of sending the
government home , or retaining it for another term in the upcoming elections on
Wednesday.
The president is
promising South Africans a corruption
free country after Wednesday, this is as Public disillusionment around
corruption, crime and the economy increase every day in the country.
Unemployment rate has also risen to 27.1%, one
of the world’s highest, with more than six million people out of work, from a
population of 58 million.
The both opposition
parties, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), who advocate radical transformation
of the economy to benefit the black majority, and the centrist Democratic
Alliance believe they will ouster the ANC controlled government by Wednesday
going by the disillusionment at ANC misrule.
South Africans face a
daily diet of revelations about outright theft of state resources and corrupt
tendering by party and government officials.
